Hi, I’m Lance McNair, and I’ve been helping people create beautiful, easy-to-manage gardens since way back in 2003.

I actually got my start, with an apprenticeship, working in aged care facilities, looking after the gardens where so many lovely residents lived. I always enjoyed chatting with them, hearing their stories, and making sure their outdoor spaces were something they could enjoy every day. That early experience shaped everything I do now — it’s where I learned how important it is to really listen to what people want.

In 2012, my wife Chantel and I moved from Sydney to Port Macquarie to give our two kids a better lifestyle — and I’ve never looked back. It didn’t take long to fall in love with this amazing community, and I now proudly call it home. Over the years, I’ve made great friends, built a solid reputation, and feel incredibly grateful to do work that brings people joy.

I couldn’t have done any of this without my wife, Chantel. She’s been a constant source of support and encouragement, always helping behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly. Together, we’ve built this business with a shared passion for creating outdoor spaces that people truly love.

These days, I’m best known for my work in places like the Dahlsford Grove Lifestyle Village, where I’ve been lucky enough to help many lovely locals transform their outdoor spaces. But my work doesn’t stop there — I also help homeowners all around Port Macquarie and the surrounding areas, from young families to retirees.

Can I choose which tasks I want to do myself and which ones you’ll handle?

Lance works with you to do as little or the lot. Retirees may enjoy lighter gardening tasks but want help with heavier or more technical work. You can discuss which parts of your garden work that you wish to do and which parts you would like him to do.

We offer a wide range of services to meet all your outdoor needs, including lawn care services such as lawn mowing, ride-on lawn mowing, turfing and lawn renovations, top soiling, fertilising, soil testing and improvement, and Army Grub treatments. Our garden maintenance services include plant selection and planting, seasonal planting, pruning and trimming, hedging, weeding and weed spraying, mulching garden beds, and garden pest spraying. For landscaping and design, we provide garden designing, native garden design and planting, seasonal garden preparation (e.g., winterizing or spring cleanup), garden edging installation or repair, gravel or decorative stone installation, and water feature installation. Our hardscaping and cleaning services include paving, pressure cleaning of pavements, building gutter and driveway drain cleaning, and window cleaning. We also specialize in irrigation and drainage, offering irrigation installation and maintenance.

Do you offer one-off services, or do I need to sign up for regular maintenance?

Some people may only need help occasionally, while others might want ongoing support we will work with you.

Can you design me a garden plan for Free?

Lance works on a fairness system and believes in putting his time and effort into clients who are ready to move forward. Once the job is accepted, he’ll be happy to create a detailed plan tailored to your needs. This ensures that every client gets the best possible service and attention.

Do you bring your own tools and equipment?

We supply all our own tools and equipment, unless otherwise organised by you. You relax while we do all the heavy work.

Can you help me design a low-maintenance garden?

Yes, our customers often prefer gardens that are easy to care for but still look beautiful and a place they are happy to be in.

Can you work within my budget?

Absolutely, that is what we specialise in. Budget is a key concern for many residents and we will help you work out a plan to tailor to your needs accordingly.
